Forget the MTV Awards the Forth Awards organised by Radio Forth honour not only some of Scotland's up and coming musicians but also worthwhile and often neglected heros and heroines within our community. Hi-Fi Corner and PURE Digital sponsored prizes for the worthy winners which included an award for the best teacher (Jenny Clelland, Ross High, Tranent) , best tourist attraction (Edinburgh Zoo),Forth One's favourite chart newcomer (David Sneddon), Best Sport Award (Keith Forster) and Edinburgh Fringe Awards (Adam Hills).

Best Performance Award went to Horse Macdonald who gave sang a marvellous song for the audience. David Sneddon from BBC's Fame, also sang two songs live.

The Music Recognition Award went to Sharleen Spiteri (Texas).
